Pietra Blu Hotel Resort

Pietra Blu Hotel Resort stands on the uncontaminated coast of San Giovanni, about 4km from the well-known locality of Polignano Mare (in ancient times called the “Pearl of the Adriatic Sea”). The closeness to the sea, the natural cliffs, the crystal-clear and emerald waters guarantee a unique and beautiful panorama.

Location

This accommodation facility is in Polignano Mare, 35km from the airport of Bari and 70km from that of Brindisi.

Rooms

Its 189 large rooms can have 2,3,4 beds and are equipped with all the comforts: bathroom, air conditioning, telephone, TV, safe, minibar (upon request). Double rooms have a small patio. Superior double rooms are composed of a small parlour separated from the bedroom and have patio or terrace. Superior triple rooms are composed of two bedrooms, a bathroom and a patio or terrace, while Superior quadruple rooms have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a terrace.

Services&Amenities

Five bars are at the guests' disposal: the first is on the edge of the swimming pool and overlooks the sea; the second is on a wonderful terrace with sea view; the third is close to the sea; the fourth is close to the internal swimming pools; the fifth is pub furnished in an original way with portholes giving onto the central swimming pool. Conference hall, private car park, excursion office, shops, bazaar, typical products, gym, wellness centre with biosauna, Turkish bath, solarium and beauty treatments (entrance and treatments on payment). Sports activities and facilities: this accommodation facility immersed in the greenness a few metres from the sea offers the ideal setting where to practice physical activities and relax in contact with an uncontaminated nature. The sea is the real protagonist and one can discover the coast on the provided canoes or by hiring a pedalo. Available for the guests: two tennis courts, one five-a-side football court, beach volley or beach tennis field and it is also possible to participate in the tournaments organized by the animation staff; a new gym equipped for fitness, fit box, spinning and fit ball; three swimming pools, one overlooking the sea and two immersed in the greenness (one for adults and one for children). The beach: the small bay of the Resort is a real paradise. The water is crystal-clear and rich in fish, the cliff slowly slopes down towards the emerald green depth and creates several natural pools. A large area with platforms equipped with sunbeds and beach umbrellas allows to easily arrive to the sea. In the accommodation facility, standing a few metres from the coast, there is a green oasis with lawn equipped with sunshade parasols, sunbeds, toilets and bar. In this oasis there is also a large sandy area for children. On payment: lighting of the sports fields and courts, excursions, transfer service, first-aid at selected hours, wellness centre, mountain bike hire, beach umbrellas and sun beds at the associated beach. Services available during the period of validity of the club card: beach umbrella and two sun beds per room at the terrace by the sea or in the green oasis; day and evening animation; “birba” club for children aged 4 to 12 years, “explora” club for those aged 13 to 17 (from June 28th to August 29th); day use of the sports fields and courts, morning use of canoes, gym and fitness programs, sports tournaments.

Restaurant

This resort has two restaurant halls with sea view. The buffet service offers a Mediterranean cuisine but also the flavours of the local tradition, with tables assigned at arrivals. A full board formula is offered, but beverages are not included in the meals.
