Hotel Il Tabacchificio

The Tabacchificio Hotel is an example, unique in Salento, of the recovery of industrial architecture. It is derived from a former tobacco manufacturing of the Twenties and retains all the characteristics of the time. The restructuring focused on the recovery of the original structure of the building and on the use of original materials and furnishings. Its location offers the opportunity both to discover the fascinating wonders of the Ionian coast, characterized by long sandy beaches, cliffs and the Adriatic coast of Salento hinterland, rich in culture and tradition. The decor in each of its individual components, was produced by local artisans exclusively for The tabacchificio.

Location

The property is located in Gagliano del Capo, just 3 km from Santa Maria di Leuca, in a very strategic location to visit the beautiful beaches of the lower salento.

Rooms

The structure has 38 rooms including 7 superior, located on the upper floor of the building and facing the outside or to an inner courtyard. The standard rooms are equipped with private bathrooms, heating, air conditioning, minibar, TV, telephone and safe. They have a courtesy door that communicates with another bedroom. The superior rooms are larger, and some with four poster beds with possibility of third and fourth bed. The property also has apartments, 9 housing (about 45 sqm each) from two to five beds, located on the ground floor with independent entrance. They consist of a sleeping area with double bed and a living area with sofa bed, dining table and kitchenette, fridge, TV, bathroom with shower or bath tub. The accommodations are the ideal solution for customers who want to have all of the services without sacrificing the convenience of larger spaces.

Cooking&Eating

The restaurant "Le Campate" is divided into two zones, an inner area and an outside area near the swimming pool to enjoy the pleasant evenings breeze of Salento. The chef offers a blend of traditional cuisine and innovative recipes, using ingredients derived exclusively from the territory. Simplicity, elegance and tradition are the foundations of the proposed menus.
