Started on January 15 within the Teatro Kismet Opera of Bari, the 2011 edition of DAB - Danza in Bari, a contemporary dance festival thought by Gemma di Tullio (Teatro Pubblico Pugliese) and Roberto Ricco (Teatro Kismet), which will run until May 15, 2011.
From January to May, you can expect a full calendar of events, divided by type. In January, the festival will begin with "Cantiere Puglia", dedicated to choreography and production of the territory. The second weekend of February will be placed under the sign of new generations of Italian dance. Mars will be the turn of the conductor Virgilio Sieni, which returns to the Kismet with "La natura delle cose", taken from the De rerum natura by Lucretius, and with "Atlante del bianco", produced with Damasco Corner.
In May, will finally arrive in town the authors of the danza contemporanea internazionale.
The DAB event is promoted by the Regione Puglia, the Assessorato al Mediterraneo Cultura e Turismo in the context of "Sviluppo della rete della danza contemporanea in Puglia ".
