Until September 5, the "Castel dei Mondi, La quattordicesima città" International Festival will take place in Andria, province of BAT. It is organized by the city in collaboration with the Regione Puglia, the Teatro Pubblico Pugliese and the Ministero dei Beni e delle Attività Culturali.
The Festival, which relies on the citizens' voluntary collaboration to develop the activities of organization, communication and promotion, lets an important space to the theater companies, which were recently born in the Andria zone, which will then be able to show their own creations.
Besides, the festival allows the visitors to discover or rediscover some sites, such as the Auditorium Vallisa of Bari or the Communal Theater of Ruvo di Puglia, situated outside Andria.
The Festival, which has an international vocation, will celebrate the 150th anniversary of Anton Chekhov's birth, with the presentation of a show, in national preview, inspired by the famous playwright.
