In Bari, the month of May is characterized by the festivities linked to the Patron Saint of the city.
In order to better welcome tourists and believers, who come to watch the Historic Procession of San Nicola, various events inspired by the relation Orient/Occident are organized until May 31 : concerts, exhibitions, theater representations and streets' exhibitions. Some are dedicated to children.
The more important objective is the exhibition of Jannis Kounellis, a Greek artist. The exhibition is divided into the Teatro Margherita and Piazza del Ferrarese, special sites of Bari, which were chosen by the artist to create a kind of dialog between the city and her works, thought as « site specific ».
