Conversano (Apulia) - Italy

Until July 21, 2010, masterpieces of Venetian painters will be displayed at the Pinacoteca "Paolo Finoglio" de Conversano (province of Bari).
The exhibition, organized by Saverio Pansini and Fabrizio Vona, is entitled Veronese, Tintoretto e la pittura veneta. Capolavori del Palais des Beaux-Arts di Lille a Conversano.
The exhibition is composed by 22 Italian masterpieces painted in the XVIth and XVIIth centuries, traditionally displayed within the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille (France), which were exchanged for the occasion with "La Gerusalemme Liberata", a cycle of 10 paintings by Paolo Finoglio.
Within the Castillo Aragonese, it will be possible to admire the works of Veronese and Tintoretto, of Leandro da Ponte (said Bassano), Francesco Montemezzano, Nicola Grassi, Lionello Spada, Carlo Maratta and Giambattista Tiepolo.
In Lille, "La Gerusalemme Liberata" of Paolo Finoglio will be visible until July 12, 2010, at the Palais des Beaux-Arts.
Promoters of this cultural initiative are the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille, la Soprintendenza per i Beni Storici, Artistici ed Etnoantropologici della Puglia, il Comune di Conversano, and the Pinacoteca "Paolo Finoglio".
