The Associazione "Li Cavalieri de li Terre Tarentine" organizes for the fourth year the “BATTAGLIA DELL'XI SECOLO”, as well as a convention about medieval studies.
After the success of the last editions, of which a documentary was broadcast on History Channel (sky), the historical commemoration of the Fight of the 1056 after Christ will take place in Taranto, within the convento dei Battendieri. The city has the objective to make it become a fixed appointment.
The event is divided into 3 days. On May 21, a seminar about the Middle Ages; on May 29, the groups coming from all Italy and Europe, will settle and the fight will occur on May 30.
This is an important commemoration as more than 150 people will be involved. On the territory some other characters will be present : musicians, craftsmen or sellers. Besides, archery or horseriding will be offered to visitors.
The entrance is free.
