Giovinazzo (Apulia) - Italy
Until May 02, 2010, the Vedetta sul mediterraneo of Giovinzzo (Ba) hosts an exhibition entitled Il Mediterraneo - Adriatico nelle carte geografiche antiche by Dino Nuradin Trtovac.
Watercolor paintings representing old geographic maps are displayed : for example, the ones of Vincenzo Maria Coronelli, Mathäus Merian and Nicolas Sanson, and Arab maps from the Middle Ages, realized by great cartographers such as Al- Idrisi and Ibn Saidi.
The watercolor paintings of the Croatian artist Trtovac, entitled "Motivi Subacquei Mediterranei", are also displayed.
The exhibition is visible on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 08.30am to 01.30pm and from Friday to Sunday, from 10.30am to 01.30pm and from 05.30 to 08.30pm.
