For the rites of the Holy Week in Taranto, two fascinating processions about the last moments of the life of Christ will be organized.

On Holy Thursday at midnight (on April 1) the Procession of the Addolorata, a very emotive moment will begin : the statue of the Virgin is taking out the San Domenico Church to the « symbolic » research of the Child.

In the afternoon of Good Friday, the Procession of Mysteries will take place, characterized by the statues representing the Passion.

As a typical tradition of Taranto, the "le Perdune" (barefoot penitent fellows) will go on procession towards the sepulcher.
