Bari (Apulia) - Italy
On February 22, 2010, Alex Britti will introduce « .23 », his new album, at the Petruzzelli Theater. 4 years after « Festa », his last album, Alex Britti comes back with a new CD and a new tour, which will stop by the main Italian theaters.
For « .23 », Britti worked with some of the best Italian musicians.
Indeed, 23 is the day of Britti's birthday, who was born on August 23, that underlines the autobiographical character of this new album.
The CD offers melancholic, romantic and ironic atmospheres, with different music, coming from pop, blues, rock and soul.
Besides, Britti recorded his album with the help of numerous famous musicians, such as the bass player Darryl Jones (Miles Davis, Sting, Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones), the drummer Paco Sery (Joe Zawinul Syndacate), the saxophonist Bob Franceschini (avec Mike Stern), the harpist Cecilia Chailly (who worked with Fabrizio de André and Mina) and the violinist and arranger Davide Rossi (Brian Eno, Coldplay, The Verve, Goldfrapp).
