From February 13 to 20, 2010, Manfredonia, in the province of Foggia, will host the 57th edition of the Dauno Carnival, one of the most beautiful in Italy.
It will be a true week of celebrations with parades and masked balls, which has always drawn a lot of people to Manfredonia.
This year, the Dauno Carnival will start on February 13 and will end on February 20 with the Colored Night, an important closing celebration, animated with night parades by the children of the Sfilata delle Meraviglie, by the allegorical floats and other masked groups.
The saturday before the Carnival Sunday means for the locals the arrival of "Ze Peppe", the traditional mask of the Manfredonia Carnival.
The two big parades of floats and masked groups, the choreographies of the Perle del Golfo, the beauty queens of the Dauno Carnival are some of the main events of the manifestation.
