On January 16 and 17, 2010, Sant'Antonio Abate, the protector of animals will be celebrated in Roseto Valfortore, province of Foggia.
It is a rural celebration, which symbolizes that the agrarian activities will begin again.

On Saturday, in the Largo Croce, as well as in other streets of the city, fires will be lit to celebrate Sant'Antonio Abate.
Thanks to the collaboration of the Proloco and other restaurants, it will be possible to taste some traditionnal typical dishes.
In the afternoon, the old straw oven will be inaugurated, after having been restored thanks to the town. Hot breads and other pizzas will be freely distributed.
On Sunday, the celebration continues with the procession of Sant'Antonio Abate.
