Christmas in the historic center
Massafra (Apulia) - Italy
This year, as the previous ones, in the streets of Massafra, a lovely city of 32.000 inhabitants near Martina Franca and Taranto, the "Christmas in the historic center" manifestation will entertain the youngest as well as the oldest.
For the fourth edition, from December 13, 2009 to January 6, 2010, the historic center becomes the theater of cultural walks, a gathering place for those who want to admire artistic cribs, losing themselves in the itinerary, that comes from Piazza Garibaldi and Via Calvi to go to Via San Leonardo, crossing by the Gravina San Marco panoramic viewpoint.
The 3 other events not to be missed are : the Christmas market set up in the Corso Italia, the arrival of the Three Kings and the descent from the Clock Tower by the Befana.
For the youngest, the Santa Claus' House stands in a house-cave in Via Messapia.
